Lemon Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta

Ingredients:


  • 8 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chicken or vegetable broth
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for a spicy kick

Cooking Instructions


  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Combine: Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the pasta. Toss everything together until well coated. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if desired.
  5. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. Enjoy this quick and flavorful dish!
