Ingredients:


  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, plus extra for greasing
  • 4 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, powdered sugar

Cooking Instructions


  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four 6-ounce ramekins with butter and lightly dust with flour to prevent sticking.
  2. Melt Butter and Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and chopped chocolate together in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
  3. Mix Batter: Stir in the powdered sugar until combined, followed by the eggs and egg yolks. Add the flour and salt, and gently mix until smooth.
  4. Fill Ramekins: Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  5. Bake: Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
  6. Serve: Allow the cakes to cool for 1 minute, then carefully run a knife around the edges and invert each ramekin onto a plate. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, fresh berries, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
